Fearless Movie Website
After Jet Li returned to China in 2004, he called me up asking if I could move to Shanghai and build the Hong Kong market website for his upcoming film, Fearless (“Huo Yuan JIa” in Chinese). From 2005 to 2006 I headed an international design team that created one of the highest trafficked movie websites at that time.
But this wasn’t just a web design job. During the promotional tour I followed Jet and the other stars of the film as they toured around China, Korea and Japan to promote the film, giving fans an in-depth look at the behind-the-scenes action.

"I have had the privilege of knowing Mark Moran for more than a decade. In that time he has worked for me not only as the webmaster for my official web site, but also as a vital member of my staff, fulfilling both professional and personal responsibilities.
Mark is a capable and conscientious person with a keep design sense and a professional demeanor. He pays close attention to details and has the ability to anticipate a situation's needs before they get out of hand.
Over the years I have seen Mark perform in a variety of environments; high stress situations with tight deadlines and urgent demands, international travel for high-profile press junkets, and even during leisure time with a relaxed atmosphere. In every case he always rises to the occasion, providing high-quality work with a positive, energetic approach.
I have no doubt of Mark's abilities and aptititude. He has much untapped potential and is a kind person with a generous personality who likes to help people and is of good moral fiber. I am sure that his future will be filled with success. I highly recommend Mark for whatever endeavor and opportunity comes his way."
A Unique Website
For this project I worked with a great group of multi-disciplinary designers based out of Shanghai. They created what, at the time, was a truly unique page-turning flash-based navigation. The look harkened to classical Chinese aesthetics and included state-of-the-art technology.
As part of the process of promoting this film, I was able to join Jet and his co-stars on their press tour throughout China, Korea and Japan, shooting exclusive footage, taking photos and sharing his adventures with a world-wide legion of fans. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
